PLAQUE
"Theirs
is the Glory" opened in London, Ottawa (Canada) and Arnhem on 17 September
1946. The invited guests received a unique aluminium plaque with a relief
of Pegasus, the flying horse, on the front, with English text on the other
side. The text explains that these souvenirs were made of the aluminium remains
of gliders used during the Battle of Arnhem.
An
aluminium replica of the plague was made especially for the 60th anniversary
of "Theirs is the Glory", with an additional text, "60th anniversary"
and "1946-2006".
Included
with the DVD box, this unique plague is a very special memento of this edition.
The plaque comes in a handsome, decorative passe-partout for display purposes.
